Reading Schedule Reports


The Logic Report is the CPM Schedule expressed in a tabular form listing the information about the task and their relationships.



Each column has information about the activity as follows:

1.     Activity ID - The same identification number as the Task ID in the schedule.

2.     Original Duration - The original number of workdays.

3.     Remaining Duration – The remaining amount of workdays.

4.     (%) - The percentage is of the activity that is complete.

5.     Predecessors/Successors - Signifies whether the listed activity is a predecessor (PR) or successor (SU) of this activity

6.     Signifies the type of relationship between activities, such as FS – Finish to start; SS – Start to start; FF – Finish to finish; SF – Start to finish.  This also indicates the amount of lag associated with the relationship.

7.     Activity Description – The same activity description as in the barchart schedule

8.     Early Start – The earliest date this activity can start

9.     Early Finish – The projected date the activity will complete if started on the Early Start date.

10.  Late Start – The latest this activity can start without impacting the end date.

11.  Late Finish – The latest this activity can finish without impacting the end date.

12. Total Float - The total number of days this activity can be delayed before it affects the project completion date.
